MobileWeb.be
launches for Play.be first mobile banner campaign on PlazZza
Brussels, March 9, 2007
MobileWeb.be is the first player on the
market that makes use of the advertising possibilities of
PlazZza. With a banner campaign about the services of his
client Play.be, MobileWeb.be delivers an exclusive in Belgium
in the field of mobile marketing. The banners can be seen
on the search pages of PlazZza, the portal for Mobile Internet
sites, launched last year by the Belgian mobile operators.
PlazZza, portal for the mobile internet
PlazZza offers a platform to offer easy access to mobile
internet sites in Belgium. The end-user can choose several
categories on PlazZza, in which the WAP sites are listed.
Another possiblity is sending a free SMS text message with
a specific hitcode to the shortcode 4444. For example, Samsung
has used the hitcode ‘samsung’ in their advertisements.
If the consumer sends this hitcode to 4444, he receives
by SMS a direct link to the Samsung mobile internet site.
First mobile banner campaign
MobileWeb.be strongly
believes in the possibilities of PlazZza regarding mobile
marketing. Earlier this provider of mobile solutions already
brought big names onto the new mobile platform, among which
Samsung and Club Brugge. With a campaign for the new WAP
service of Play.be, MobileWeb.be wants to prove that the
PlazZza medium is ready for advertising. In collaboration
with ScreenTonic, pioneer for mobile advertising in Europe,
and the operatores Mobistar and Proximus the banners were
placed on the category and search pages of PlazZza. In the
past, ScreenTonic has set up campaigns for Coca-Cola and
Reebok for the successful Gallery, the French sister of
PlazZza.
“With the rise of larger mobile phone screens and
faster connections, the biggest obstacles for a mobile platform
such as PlazZza are cleared out.” explains Danny Lein,
Managing Director of MobileWeb.be, “Marketing campaigns
on such a medium are the logical result, and both the market
as the consumer are ready for this.”
